The Skopje Declaration was adopted during the Forum. It reaffirms the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative and EUSAIR as key strategic frameworks for enhancing regional cooperation, stability, security, and prosperity across the Adriatic-Ionian region, especially in light of the current geopolitical challenges affecting Europe and the broader international community.

The opening day of the 11th Annual EUSAIR Forum featured a series of well-executed panels covering a broad range of key issues relevant to the EUSAIR region.

The 24th meeting of the EUSAIR Thematic Steering Group on Transport (TSG2) was held online on 24 April 2026 via the EUSAIR Stakeholder Platform, under the coordination of the Pillar Coordinators.

The 23rd meeting of the Energy Thematic Steering Group (TSG2) was conducted online on 20 April 2026 through the EUSAIR Stakeholder Platform.

The event took place on 21–22 April 2026 at the Grand Hotel Sofia, bringing together National Coordinators, representatives from the European Commission (DG REGIO), the Interreg Danube Region Programme, and the Danube Youth Council.

The fourth meeting of the Pillar 5 Thematic Steering Group under the EU Strategy for the Adriatic–Ionian Region (EUSAIR) was held in Sarajevo on 21–22 April 2026

On 21 April 2026, the Central European Initiative (CEI) hosted a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Alpine–Western Balkans and Western Balkans–Eastern Mediterranean Rail Freight Corridors at its headquarters in Trieste.

Under the auspices of North Macedonia’s Presidency of the European Union Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), a regular meeting of the Pillar 4 Thematic Steering Group on Sustainable Tourism took place in Skopje on 16–17 April 2026.

Izola, 9 April 2026 – The 7th Adriatic Maritime Law Conference (AMLC VII) opened in Izola, Slovenia, reaffirming its status as one of the leading maritime law events in the Adriatic-Ionian region.

On 25 March 2026, the city of Trieste hosted the event titled “Digitalising the Road Last Mile for Ports and Multimodal Freight Terminals: Data Sharing and Interoperability for Efficient Freight Flows.”
