Last Chance to Register for the 2025 Mediterranean Coast and Macro-Regional Strategies Week

The 10th Anniversary edition of the Mediterranean Coast and Macro-Regional Strategies Week is scheduled from 15 to 17 September 2025 in the charming seaside town of Izola, Slovenia. With the event nearing full capacity, registration will be closing shortly.

This landmark gathering marks ten years since the first celebration of Mediterranean Coast Day and brings together participants from all four EU macro-regional strategies, along with prominent partners and stakeholders. Over the past decade, the event has evolved into a key forum for fostering collaboration, exchanging forward-thinking ideas, and encouraging sustainable progress throughout the Mediterranean basin.

The 2025 programme will spotlight vital issues, including insights into the post-2027 EU Cohesion Policy and strengthening climate resilience. Attendees can look forward to engaging discussions, hands-on sessions, and fruitful interactions among decision-makers, experts, civic organizations, and citizens operating at all levels—local to international.

Taking place in the lead-up to Mediterranean Coast Day (25 September), the event also highlights Slovenia’s pioneering role as the first Mediterranean nation to ratify the Protocol on Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) back in 2009.
