
Danube Strategy Point (DSP) Vienna is currently seeking a Pillar Officer to join their team, working 40 hours per week.
Position Objective:
Pillar Officers are tasked with fostering external and inter-Pillar collaboration, identifying and capitalizing on synergies. They are also responsible for strengthening cooperation within the Pillar's priorities and organizing meetings, seminars, and workshops for the Priority Areas (PAs) when required. The Pillar Officer will assist in implementing the Priority Areas through stakeholder management, supporting strategic development of the EUSDR governance, navigating the EU (and beyond) funding landscape, advancing institutional memory, and promoting institutional growth. The Pillar Officer stationed in Vienna will primarily focus on Pillars 1 and 4, which deal with "Connecting the Region" and "Strengthening the Region."
Key Responsibilities:

Foster strong collaboration and exchange of experiences between PACs within each Pillar, and across the other two Pillars, in close cooperation with the Pillar Officer based in Bucharest and the DSP team.

Promote synergies through cooperation among PAs and across the Macro-Regional Strategies (MRS), enabling the exchange of best practices.

Support PACs in working with funding institutions, EUSDR stakeholders, civil society, and project promoters.

Assist in identifying strategically important projects and processes, and facilitate the efficient pooling of funding.

Manage the strategic integration of the EUSDR embedding process (ERDF/CF, IPA/NDICI, and others), facilitating discussions among macro-regional stakeholder groups and funding programs.

Provide assistance to PACs by organizing seminars, team-building activities, etc.

Facilitate exchanges with other macro-regional strategies, and engage with accession countries.

Prepare the EUSDR Implementation Report, along with other relevant reports, discussion papers, and documents related to the Strategy.

Report directly to the DSP Coordinator.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:

A university degree in a relevant field.
-
A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in European Cohesion Policy, with a focus on ETC/MRS.

Deep knowledge of at least one EUSDR Priority Area.

Proven experience in standalone project management, including implementation and reporting.

Fluency in English.

Employment Conditions:

The contract will be signed with EU-Förderagentur GmbH (EU Funding Agency Ltd.), a subsidiary of Wien Holding GmbH, on behalf of the City of Vienna.

The position is set to begin on April 1, 2025.

The contract includes a one-month probationary period.

The role requires 40 hours per week.

The workplace is located in Vienna, Austria.

Flexible working hours (with core working time) and home-office arrangements are available.

The monthly gross salary starts at €3,500 (14 payments per year, based on 40 hours/week). The salary may be adjusted based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
