
This significant event will mark the conclusion of the Hellenic EUSAIR Presidency and celebrate a decade of joint efforts towards regional integration and sustainable development in the Adriatic and Ionian regions, taking place on May 6-7, 2025, at the Pilot Beach Resort in Georgioupolis, Crete.
The Forum will focus on key components of the EUSAIR strategy, starting with a review of past achievements and a discussion on future directions. It will highlight ten years of progress, evaluate previous initiatives, and outline plans for the coming years, taking into account the updated Action Plan and adapting to the changing regional and global landscape. A major theme will be enhancing youth participation, showcasing the efforts of the EUSAIR Youth Council, and exploring ways to empower young people in influencing regional policies. The Forum will also tackle issues of sustainability and resilience within the Adriatic-Ionian Region, addressing key topics such as the blue economy, energy and climate change, environmental protection, and sustainable tourism. The aim is to overcome challenges by developing innovative solutions, fostering collaboration, and building regional resilience for sustainable development.
The event will be organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in close partnership with the European Commission and the EUSAIR Facility Point. It will bring together high-level officials from the participating countries, European Commission representatives, regional stakeholders, and civil society members.
