As part of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s term holding the Presidency of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), Sarajevo hosted a two-day joint meeting of EUSDR National Coordinators (NCs) and Priority Area Coordinators (PACs) on 10–11 September 2025.
Throughout the meeting, participants addressed key topics linked to the implementation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EUSDR Presidency agenda, including preparations for the 14th EUSDR Annual Forum, which will take place from 4–6 November 2025. The European Commission and the Danube Regional Programme shared important updates, and a special session was dedicated to exploring ways to strengthen EUSDR’s governance framework, following recommendations from the recently finalized evaluation process.
Particular emphasis was placed on promoting youth engagement and advancing flagship projects. The gathering also created space for exchanging experiences and fostering deeper collaboration among the countries of the Danube Region.
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Presidency provides a valuable opportunity to play an active role in regional cooperation and in advancing Europe’s strategic priorities. By hosting this event in Sarajevo, the country has taken another step toward reinforcing international ties and further aligning itself with European integration processes.
