Accelerating Climate Change Adaptation in the Adriatic-Ionian Region

The Hellenic Presidency of EUSAIR for 2024–2025, in partnership with the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Region of Ionian Islands, invites you to join efforts in advancing climate change adaptation in the Adriatic-Ionian Region.

The goal of this event is to bring together key stakeholders involved in adaptation efforts and to prompt immediate action aimed at enhancing climate resilience in the region. It will provide a platform for in-depth discussions between the EUSAIR countries, along with EU and UN institutions and financial organizations. The focus will be on exchanging challenges, sharing experiences, and showcasing best practices for climate-proofing infrastructure, supporting sustainable tourism, and strengthening the climate resilience of cities and communities.

The event will also serve as an opportunity to identify shared climate challenges, develop solutions, and explore funding options to accelerate adaptation measures through the implementation of the European Strategy and Action Plan for the Adriatic-Ionian Region.

This initiative is part of the integrated project LIFE-IP AdaptInGR - Boosting the implementation of adaptation policy across Greece. The project is supported by the LIFE Programme of the European Union and the Green Fund of Greece.
