EUSDR Unveils 2022-2023 Implementation Report Showcasing Regional Achievements

The Danube Strategy Point has unveiled the EUSDR Implementation Report for 2022-2023, showcasing the region's accomplishments in enhancing resilience, fostering collaboration, and promoting sustainable development throughout the Danube Region, despite challenges like the ongoing war in Ukraine and the impact of climate change. The report highlights advancements in the four key strategic areas:

  • Pillar 1: Enhanced connectivity with flagship projects like FAIRway Danube II and efforts to align transport and energy with EU decarbonization goals.

  • Pillar 2: Climate resilience initiatives, including sustainable agriculture policies and flood risk management with nature-based solutions.

  • Pillar 3: Boosted competitiveness through innovation hubs, vocational education, and green skills.

  • Pillar 4: Strengthened governance with cross-border healthcare frameworks and security collaborations like DARIF.

Notable achievements include the creation of the Danube Youth Council, the introduction of the first EUSDR monitoring system, and the initiation of 28 flagship projects. Additionally, the EUSDR has prioritized the EU integration of Ukraine, Moldova, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
