Which measures need to be taken to ensure a sustainable development after the COVID-19 crisis? Which actions need to be prioritised? Which structural improvements for inland navigation will help us to set the course for future? These and similar questions will be elaborated at the event, the objective of which is to clarify concrete steps that would "ensure seamless operations along the entire Danube to avoid further economic damage". 

Regarding the passenger shipping transport, specific measures may be mentioned that could ensure safe and smooth cross-border river cruises besides the adherence to hygene requirements and other areas to improve. As far as cargo shipping transport is concerned, such and further issues may be touched upon: actions to mobilise additional financing for the maintenance and further development of waterway infrastructure; mitigation of competitive disadvantages caused by low water; improvement regarding the carbon footprint of inland navigation.
